چکیده

We investigate the effects of neutrino-nucleus interactions (the ν-process) on the production of iron-peak elements in Population III core-collapse supernovae. The ν-process and the following proton and neutron capture reactions produce odd-Z iron-peak elements in complete and incomplete Si burning region. This reaction sequence enhances the abundances of Sc, Mn, and Co in the supernova ejecta. The supernova explosion models of 15 M⊙ and 25 M⊙ stars with the ν-process well reproduce the averaged Mn/Fe ratio observed in extremely metal-poor halo stars. In order to reproduce the observed Mn/Fe ratio, the total neutrino energy in the supernovae should be 3 − 9× 1053 ergs. Stronger neutrino irradiation and other production sites are necessary to reproduce the observed Sc/Fe and Co/Fe ratios, although these ratios increase by the ν-process. Nucleosynthesis in neutrino heated matter : The ν p - process and the r - process

This manuscript reviews recent progress in our understanding of the nucleosynthesis of medium and heavy elements in supernovae. Recent hydrodynamical models of core-collapse supernovae show that a large amount of proton rich matter is ejected under strong neutrino fluxes. This matter constitutes the site of the ν p-process where antineutrino absorption reactions catalyze the nucleosynthesis of ...

ν-Process in Population III Core-Collapse Supernovae

We investigate the effects of the ν-process on the production of odd-Z iron-peak elements in the supernovae of 15 and 25 M Population III stars and the hypernova of a 25 M Population III star. The abundances of Sc, Mn, and Co produced in complete and incomplete Si burning regions are enhanced through the ν-process and subsequent neutronand proton-capture reactions. The enhanced yields depend on...

Chemical Enrichment in the Carbon-enhanced Damped Lyman Α System by the Population Iii Supernovae

We show that the recently observed elemental abundance pattern of the carbon-rich metal-poor Damped Lyman α (DLA) system is in excellent agreement with the nucleosynthesis yields of faint core-collapse supernovae of primordial stars. The observed abundance pattern is not consistent with the nucleosynthesis yields of pair-instability supernovae. The DLA abundance pattern is very similar to that ...
